1. Introduction

DoNotes ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our approach and confirms how your information is handled when you use the DoNotes mobile application (the “App”). This policy applies only to the DoNotes app.

2. Information Collection and Use

DoNotes does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses. Furthermore, we do not collect technical identifiers such as IP addresses, Device IDs (IMEI/Android ID), or any form of usage analytics/telemetry. However, third-party advertising services may automatically collect certain information to display ads. This may include: Advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID) Approximate location (based on IP address) Device information (such as device model and operating system version) App usage data related to advertising. DoNotes does not access, control, or store this advertising data.

All data created within the App is stored locally on your device. This includes:

To-do lists and task descriptions
Note content and titles
App configurations and user preferences

3. Data Storage and Security

Because DoNotes operates primarily on your local hardware:

Local Database: We use a local database on your device to ensure high performance and privacy.
Permissions: DoNotes does not request access to your camera, contacts, microphone, location, or any other sensitive device sensors.
Device Security: The security of your data depends on your device's security. We recommend using biometric locks, PINs, or passcodes on your mobile device to prevent unauthorized physical access.
No Remote Access: We have no technical means to access, recover, or view your notes or lists.

4. Third-Party Services

DoNotes uses third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob to display ads. These services may collect information as described in Section 2 to provide and improve advertising. The data collected by these services is governed by their own privacy policies. DoNotes does not sell or share your personal notes or tasks with any third parties.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You have absolute control over your data. It persists on your device only as long as the App is installed. Data is permanently removed when you:

Manually delete a note or task within the App
Clear the App's storage/cache in your device settings
Uninstall the App from your device

Note: Since we provide no cloud storage, we cannot recover deleted data. We recommend manually backing up important information. You can export your notes privately to a CSV file stored on your device.

6. Children's Privacy

DoNotes is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect future app updates or legal changes. The "Last Updated" date at the top will indicate the latest version. Your continued use of the App constitutes your consent to these terms.
